Cheap paper for wheat pasting and stencils

My local newspaper sells end of roll newsprint for $3. I’d say there is a lot of paper left on it- maybe about an inch of paper on the 36″ roll. Nice deal, considering that would be about $15 at a local craft store.

I also picked up a lot of thicker paper to use for stencils for nothing.

Now I’m realizing it might be possible to get ink for cheap from local smaller printers when they are throwing it away. I’m thinking how awesome it would be to make my own screenprinting posters. The Adventures in DIY Screen Printing blog has an amazing write-up on the problems they had making posters the first time.
