There really are three options when you are choosing how to wire a DIY 3D printer:
- Buy a 3d printer wiring harness / kit.
- Assemble the wiring kit and connectors yourself.
- Re-use salvaged wiring.

You are saved from the worry about the solder join on the second pin for the heater bed shorting out when you walk away from your Franken-printer.
